Quality Lab Technician

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Shift: Day Shift
Job Type: Full-Time

We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Lab Technician to join our Quality team in a fast-paced dairy manufacturing environment. If you enjoy laboratory work, have an eye for detail, and are passionate about food safety and quality, we'd love to hear from you.

In this role, you'll perform laboratory testing, inspect products, collect data, and help ensure our products meet the highest quality and food safety standards.

What You'll Do

  • Collect and test raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  • Perform laboratory testing using standard analytical and microbiological methods.
  • Record, analyze, and report test results accurately.
  • Inspect products and packaging to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Monitor production processes and support quality checks on the production floor.
  • Calibrate laboratory equipment and maintain a clean, organized lab.
  • Prepare laboratory solutions and reagents following safety procedures.
  • Assist with product traceability, documentation, and quality investigations.
  • Place products on hold when quality concerns arise and document findings.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Sanitation teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Follow all GMP, food safety, and company procedures.
  • Support additional quality projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Associate degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent laboratory or food manufacturing experience.
  • 1-3 years of quality or laboratory experience in a food or dairy manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment such as pH meters, balances, and microbiological testing methods.
  • Familiarity with GMPs, FDA regulations, and food safety practices.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors during laboratory testing.
  • Must be able to work around dairy products (no dairy allergies).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
