Business Analyst III

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst III to support strategic initiatives within the MSIM Private Credit & Equity division. This role will lead and coordinate cross-functional projects focused on process improvement, workflow optimization, technology enablement, data management, and AI integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, project management, business operations, and process transformation, with the ability to partner effectively across investment, operations, and technology teams. Key Responsibilities Strategic Initiatives & Process Improvement Lead and coordinate strategic operational initiatives focused on process improvement, workflow optimization, technology enablement, and AI integration. Evaluate existing business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, scalability, and operational effectiveness. Develop and implement solutions that enhance execution, reporting capabilities, and data integrity across the organization. Support initiatives aimed at process standardization and operational excellence. Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement Manage cross-functional projects from initiation through implementation. Gather business requirements and translate them into actionable project plans. Coordinate stakeholder meetings, project timelines, status reporting, issue management, and implementation activities. Foster alignment among investment, operations, and technology teams to ensure successful project outcomes. Track project milestones, identify risks, and facilitate issue resolution. Business Systems & Technology Optimization Support the administration and optimization of key business systems, including CRM and portfolio management platforms. Assist in the evaluation, implementation, and enhancement of business applications and technology solutions. Work closely with internal teams to maximize system utilization and process efficiency. Support technology transformation initiatives, including AI-enabled tools and workflow automation solutions. Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze operational, financial, and business process data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis. Support reporting enhancements and business intelligence initiatives. Collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen data governance and reporting frameworks. Identify opportunities for workflow automation and process optimization through data-driven analysis. Innovation & AI Enablement Participate in the evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies and AI-driven solutions. Support initiatives related to workflow automation, intelligent process optimization, and operational innovation. Assist with AI adoption strategies and technology integration efforts across business functions. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience in: Business Analysis Project Management Business Operations Strategic Initiatives Data Analytics Process Improvement Technology Enablement within Private Equity, Private Credit, Investment Banking, Consulting, Asset Management, or Financial Services. Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional projects. Experience with requirements gathering, stakeholder management, project execution, risk management, and process improvement. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working with large datasets and operational reporting. Experience improving business workflows and optimizing enterprise systems. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical teams. Preferred Qualificati ons Experience with DealCloud CRM. Experience with eFront, Cobalt, or similar private markets platforms. Experience supporting Private Equity, Private Credit, or Alternative Investments organizations. Familiarity with workflow automation tools and enterprise process management solutions. Experience implementing or supporting AI-enabled business applications and AI agent solutions. Knowledge of data governance, reporting frameworks, and business intelligence tools. Experience driving digital transformation or operational efficiency initiatives. Industry Knowledge Strong understanding of Private Markets and investment lifecycle processes, including: Deal Sourcing Due Diligence Portfolio Management Fundraising Activities Investor Reporting Investment Operations Knowledge of alternative investment workflows and industry best practices. Certifications Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent certification preferred. Agile, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, or related process improvement certifications are a plus. Relevant financial services certifications are advantageous but not required.
