Job Description
Summary
We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a 34-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry Unit in Las Cruces, NM. This full-time permanent position provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen your acute care skills while working in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. The unit serves as a strong foundation for future advancement into Intermediate Care (IMC), ICU, and other specialty areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments safely.
- Monitor telemetry patients and identify changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and electronic medical records.
- Promote patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
Minimum Requirements
- Active New Mexico RN License or Compact RN License
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience
- BLS Certification (required upon hire)
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
