Job Title: Nurse Manager – Emergency Department (ED/ER Services)
Location: Dallas, Texas United States
Salary: $51 – $75 per hour (based on experience)
Additional Benefits: Sign-on bonus up to $20,000 | Relocation assistance (case-by-case)
Job Summary
The Nurse Manager – Emergency Department is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all services within the Emergency Department. This role ensures high-quality patient care aligned with the hospital’s mission, vision, and goals.
The position requires strong leadership, effective communication, and collaboration with physicians, staff, and other departments to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff (approx. 35 FTEs)
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
- Manage departmental budgets and resources efficiently
- Maintain strong relationships with physicians, patients, vendors, and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards, regulations, and hospital policies
- Resolve operational and patient care issues effectively

- 41 Wall Beds & 16 Hallway Beds
- Team Size: 35 FTEs
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Master’s or advanced degree (Preferred)
Licensure & Certifications
- Active RN License (Texas or Compact State)
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS & PALS (within 6 months)
- TNCC (within 18 months)
- ENPC or CEN (within 18 months)
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience, including:
- Staff supervision and leadership roles
- Budget planning and financial oversight
- Physician relationship management
- Handling operational and patient care challenges
- Quality improvement initiatives
- Prior Emergency Department (ED) experience is required
