Labor & Delivery RN (Experienced or Acute Care RN Transition)

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for a high-volume, high-acuity maternal health unit. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN or strong acute care nurse ready to transition into Labor & Delivery, OB/GYN, women’s health, and maternal-child nursing.

This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum process in a fast-paced hospital environment with a strong focus on patient safety, fetal monitoring, high-risk pregnancies, and family-centered care. Nurses will be responsible for full nursing process execution including assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, documentation, and interdisciplinary coordination.

Unit Highlights

• High-volume maternity service with approximately 350 deliveries per month
• Significant high-risk obstetric population (~40%)
• Advanced Labor & Delivery unit with:
• • Labor rooms
  • OB triage
  • Surgical suites for C-sections and emergencies
• Strong interdisciplinary collaboration with OB providers, anesthesia, and neonatal teams

Shift Details

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3x12 hour shifts (36 hours/week)
• Rotating weekends as required

Compensation & Incentives

• Min pay: $33.15/hour | Max pay: $43/hr based on experience (Can be negotiable)
• Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus (eligibility based on distance + commitment agreement)
• Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
• Direct Hire position with long-term stability

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Oklahoma or compact license required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
• Preferred: Prior Labor & Delivery, OB/GYN, or Mother-Baby experience
• Considered: 2+ years acute care hospital RN experience (Med-Surg, ICU, ER, Telemetry, etc.)
• Strongly preferred candidates with interest in maternal health, women’s health, and long-term L&D specialization
