Unit Details

• Pediatric CICU
• 14-bed unit
• Patients age 1+
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1
• Brand-new pediatric cardiac program
• 50–70 projected cases in first year

Requirements

• Minimum 1-year recent PICU RN experience in Acute care hospital.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Active RN License
• Experience with:
• • Pediatric cardiac patients
  • Congenital heart disease
  • Pediatric post-operative care (preferred)
  • CV Pediatric ICU exposure (highly preferred)
• BLS within 30 days
• ACLS within 6 months
• PALS within 6 months
• CCRN preferred

Shift Timings

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  OR
• 11:00 PM – 11:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients
• Manage individualized treatment plans
• Monitor pediatric post-op cardiac patients
• Ensure patient safety and quality care
• Support process improvement initiatives
• Educate patients and families
