CNC Machinist
Job Description
IMPORTANT: This role requires a minimum of 3+ years of hands-on CNC Machinist experience (lathes, mills, and/or grinders). Applicants who do not meet this minimum experience requirement will not be considered — please do not apply without it.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Level II for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Spanish Fork, UT, supporting precision manufacturing within the aerospace and defense industry. This role is ideal for a hands-on machinist with at least 3 years of experience setting up and operating lathes, mills, and/or grinders to produce high-tolerance parts.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC equipment to machine production, developmental, or maintenance parts to exact tolerances.
- Review engineering drawings, sketches, diagrams, and work instructions to plan machining sequences and determine tooling, speeds, feeds, and holding methods.
- Perform machining operations such as turning, facing, boring, chamfering, drilling, grooving, reaming, tapping, slotting, milling angles, radii, splines, serrations, and keyways.
- Work with ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys while maintaining dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Load, secure, and prepare raw stock, grind cutting tools and bits, and perform basic preventive maintenance as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, operating practices, regulations, and quality expectations while working independently or as part of a team.
Compensation and Benefits
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Location: Spanish Fork, UT.
- 1st Shift: 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM, $23.00 per hour, possibly more based on experience.
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM to 12:30 AM, $24.00 per hour, possibly more based on experience.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as required.
