RN Med Surg "High Demand"

The hospital is a full-service medical center in southern New Mexico, offering comprehensive medical and surgical care in a 34-bed medical-surgical unit. The unit features modern facilities and fosters a collaborative environment where RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs work closely to provide compassionate, high-quality care focused on patient safety. This role also provides opportunities for professional development and continuing education in nursing specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients on the medical-surgical unit
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and post-discharge care
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN)
• BLS Certification
• 1+ years of medical-surgical nursing experience OR 1+ years of general nursing experience
