HIRING ~ Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) - Outpatient Therapist

The Guidance Center in Southgate, MI is seeking a compassionate Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join its Adult Behavioral Health Program as an Outpatient Therapist. This role focuses on delivering high-quality outpatient therapy services to adults, supporting their journey toward mental wellness through individualized care and collaborative treatment approaches.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Day Shift
• Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–7:00 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Flexible scheduling available
• No on-call

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments and comprehensive behavioral health evaluations.
• Provide individual and group therapy for adults with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.
• Develop person-centered treatment plans and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, community agencies, and family members.
• Participate in clinical supervision, case consultations, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Coordinate discharge planning and community resource referrals.
• Maintain compliance with agency policies, state licensure requirements, and funding guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
• Active Michigan licensure or limited licensure in one of the following: LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LLPC, LLP, TLLP.
• Minimum of one year of experience (internship/fieldwork may qualify) working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credential required within 120 days of hire.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Pay

• Fully Licensed: $29.47–$39.67/hour
• Limited License: $27.22–$36.63/hour
• Pay is based on licensure and experience.
