Pediatric CICU RN – $30K Bonus | PICU/CVICU | Nights

Location: Houston, TX

Compensation:

• Pay Range: $42.03–$65.10/hr. (Based on experience) + Benefits
• Night Shift Differential: +$4/hr.
• Weekend Differential: +$2/hr.
• Sign-On Bonus: $30,000
• Relocation Assistance Available (case-by-case)

Schedule:

• Full-Time
• Nights: 7PM–7AM or 11PM–11AM
• Rotating Weekends Required

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric CICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for critically ill pediatric cardiac patients in a high-acuity acute care environment.

The RN will deliver family-centered, evidence-based care while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary cardiac teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to help build and grow a new Pediatric CICU program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients
• Care for congenital heart disease and post-operative cardiac surgery patients
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
• Participate in process improvement and unit initiatives
• Educate patients and families throughout the care process
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum 1 year of recent Pediatric ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital
• Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN required within 24 months if hired with ADN)
• BLS Certification within 30 days of hire
• ACLS Certification within 6 months of hire
• PALS Certification within 6 months of hire

Preferred

• Children’s Hospital experience
• Pediatric CVICU or post-op cardiac experience
• CCRN Certification
