- Shift: Nights – 36 or 48 hours/week
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
- On-Call Requirement: 4 call shifts per 6-week schedule
- Floating: Required within units of equal or lower acuity
- Daily Census: 1-8 patients
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Requirements
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Post-cardiac surgery care (not directly from OR)
- POD1 heart patient management
- Admitting fresh heart patients
- Ventilator management
- Pacer management: temporary/transvenous pacers
- Chest tube assistance (insertion/removal)
- Experience with lumbar drains
