Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Acute Care
Job Description
Position Overview:
The Respiratory Therapist will evaluate, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver effective respiratory care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform respiratory assessments, diagnostic testing, and therapeutic procedures for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Administer respiratory treatments, monitor patient responses, and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Respond to emergency situations, rapid response calls, and respiratory-related critical care needs.
- Perform procedures including blood gas analysis, EKGs, and other respiratory diagnostic evaluations.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Arkansas required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking skills with a commitment to compassionate patient care.
