Position: Registered Nurse – Pediatric CICU
Location: Houston, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time (Night Shift, Rotating Weekends)
Shift Options: 7 PM – 7 AM or 11 PM – 11 AM

About the Facility

• 420+ bed women-focused hospital
• Leading center for women & pediatric care in Texas
• High-volume delivery hospital (800+ births/month)
• Level IV NICU (highest level of neonatal care)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to critically ill pediatric patients (especially congenital heart disease & post-surgical cases)
• Develop and manage individualized, family-centered care plans
• Maintain safe and therapeutic patient environment
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Educate patients and families

Required Qualifications

• RN License (Registered Nurse)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN required within timeline)
• Experience:
• • Minimum 1-year Pediatric ICU (PICU) RN experience in acute care

Preferred Qualifications

• CCRN certification
• Children’s hospital experience
• Pediatric cardiovascular (CV) ICU or post-op experience

Unit Details

• Pediatric patients: Age 1+
• 14-bed CICU
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1
• Brand new program (50–70 cases in first year)
