Medical Laboratory Scientist | $10K Sign-On Bonus + Benefits

Job Summary

Join a leading academic medical center as a Medical Laboratory Scientist II specializing in Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine. In this role, you'll perform advanced laboratory testing, ensure accurate results, maintain quality standards, troubleshoot equipment, and support patient care through specialized transfusion services.

Pay:

• $26.85–$45.04/hr (based on experience)
• $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

Schedule:

• Full-Time Night Shift (4x10s)
• Option 1: Sunday–Wednesday | 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Option 2: Friday–Monday | 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science, Chemical Science, or Biological Science, or Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
• MT/MLS (ASCP/AMT), MLT (ASCP/AMT), or ASCP categorical certification (based on education)
• Blood Bank experience required, including:
• • Type & Screen
  • Antibody Identification
  • DAT & Eluate
  • Phenotyping & Antigen Typing
  • Blood product modifications (irradiation, syringe aliquots)
  • MTP and emergency release protocols
• MLT candidates are welcome if they have Blood Bank experience in a 500+ bed hospital
