Position Overview
A leading coastal Oregon healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department team. This role is ideal for RNs who thrive in fast-paced acute care environments and are passionate about delivering high-quality emergency patient care.
The ER RN will assess, plan, coordinate, and deliver emergency nursing care while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care using the nursing process
- Assess patient conditions and respond rapidly to emergencies
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for patient care coordination
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system
- Adapt quickly to changing patient conditions and unit priorities
Qualifications
- Active Oregon RN License required
- BLS Certification required
- Recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Recent acute care hospital experience within the last 5 years required
Preferred Certifications:
- ACLS
- PALS or ENPC
- TNCC
- CEN Certification
- Workplace Violence/SAFE Training
