Med-Surg RN | 3x12 | $20k Sign-on & Benefits

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic patient care team at a leading acute care facility in Salem, VA. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple Med-Surg specialties, including Oncology and Ortho Trauma, while delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Shift Available: Full-time – Mixed/Night Shift (Rotating Weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions during admission and throughout each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any significant changes promptly
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and procedures while monitoring patient responses and documenting care accurately in the medical record
• Deliver exceptional patient care by responding quickly to patient needs and ensuring comfort and safety at all times
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and discharge instructions in an easy-to-understand manner
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality outcomes and continuity of care

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Virginia or eligibility to practice with a compact RN license
• Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date
• Acute care experience preferred, but not required
• Willingness to cross-train across multiple Medical Surgical units

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $31.70/hr – $47.54/hr (based on years of experience)

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000

Relocation Assistance: Up to $1,500
