Med Surg RN |$20K Sign on | Permanent

The Registered Nurse (RN) position is a full-time, permanent role involving rotating night shifts and weekend coverage. This position requires cross-training across multiple units such as Oncology and Orthopedic Trauma, caring for patients with moderate acuity levels. RNs will report to the Nurse Manager and Charge Nurse and are supported by internal training programs, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for external certification to foster professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in multiple units including Oncology and Ortho Trauma
• Collaborate with healthcare teams, reporting to Nurse Manager and Charge Nurse
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond appropriately to moderate acuity cases
• Maintain compliance with protocols and standards of care
• Participate in shift rotations and weekend coverage as scheduled
• Engage in cross-training initiatives to expand clinical skills across units
• Document patient care and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) License required
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or BCLS Instructor certification within 30 days of employment required

Preferred Qualifications

• Willingness to cross-train, acute care experience preferred but not required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is advantageous
• Experience in Oncology or Orthopedic Trauma units
