ICU Registered Nurse | $25K Sign On | Urgent Need

The ICU Registered Nurse plays a vital role in providing specialized care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. This position requires a strong foundation in acute care with the ability to monitor patients closely, administer medications, and respond effectively to emergencies. The nurse will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver thorough care planning, maintain infection control, and support patients and their families through critical health events.

Shifts: Days / Nights (Rotating weekends)

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs and condition closely at a 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Administer medications and manage ventilators as required in critical care settings
• Support emergency response efforts promptly and efficiently within the ICU
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for critically ill patients
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
• Operate specialized ICU equipment and ensure compliance with infection control protocols
• Assess patient conditions continuously and communicate findings to the care team
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with patient families

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU Registered Nurse experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license with New Mexico or Compact licensure obtained prior to start
• BLS certification upon application submission
• Candidates must live outside 100 Miles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in critical care nursing and patient assessment
• Proficient in medication administration and ventilator management
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Effective communication, teamwork, and time management skills
• Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions and ICU environments
