Payroll Specialist
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a mission-driven organization in a full-time, in-office role. This position is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time for a growing employee population.
Key Responsibilities
• Process payroll for approximately 400 employees, including biweekly and semi-monthly payrolls
• Review payroll data for accuracy and maintain payroll records
• Handle payroll adjustments, deductions, direct deposits, and year-end reporting
• Support payroll requirements, including housing allowance and tax-related considerations
• Prepare payroll reports, imports/exports, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Respond to payroll questions professionally while maintaining strict confidentiality
• Assist with benefit deductions, retirement contributions, audits, and process improvements
Ideal Candidate
• 3-5+ years of payroll processing experience required
• Experience processing complex payroll for 300+ employees preferred
• ADP payroll system experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of payroll laws, tax reporting, deductions, and compliance
• Strong Excel, reporting, and computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and confidentiality
• Ability to communicate payroll information clearly to employees and leadership
• Experience with nonprofit payroll is a plus

• Business casual work environment
• Must be comfortable working within a faith-based, mission-focused organization
• Must pass a criminal background check
Schedule and Compensation
• Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a 1-hour lunch
• 100% in-office position
• Permanent salary range: $70,000-$85,000, depending on experience
• Benefits include retirement contribution, health, life, disability, paid time off and more
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $84,998.00 per year
