Instructional Assistant - Daly City, California

As part of this collaborative school-based role, you’ll work with students with diverse abilities, providing essential academic and personal care assistance throughout each day. Pay begins at $34.25 per hour, with opportunities for increased compensation based on qualifications and experience. Assignments are approximately 27.5 hours per week. All paraprofessionals must be comfortable with the full scope of student support, including toileting, diapering, feeding, and g-tube feeding when needed.

Qualifications:

• S10/S10A required and must be explicitly listed; additional S-qualifications (S10E, S10F, S10Q, S10W, S20D, S20V, S22) are strongly encouraged and should be specified on your submission.
• Minimum of an Associate’s degree, or 48 college units with a high school diploma, or passing of the CBEST or Instructional Aide Exam with a high school diploma.
• Willingness to perform all aspects of student support, including physical and personal care duties.
• Experience with SPED populations or relevant S-qualification highly desirable.
• Flexibility and strong teamwork mindset are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Support students in academic, behavioral, and personal care needs in various K-12 settings.
• Provide one-on-one and small group assistance as directed by school staff.
• Implement IEP accommodations and behavior plans with compassion and accuracy.
• Attend required trainings, including first aid/CPR and any specialized modules, as assigned by the district.
