Position: Respiratory Therapist (Night Shift)

Location: 300 Edna M. Rockefeller Drive, Muskogee, OK 74401
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Schedule: 36 hours/week | 3 x 12-hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Pay: $27.17–$40.76 per hour

What You'll Do-

• Assess patients' respiratory status and develop individualized respiratory care plans.
• Administer respiratory treatments, including:
• • Nebulizer therapy
  • Metered-dose inhalers (MDIs)
  • Humidity and aerosol therapy
  • Medical gas therapy
• Perform respiratory procedures, including:
• • Incentive spirometry
  • Pulse oximetry
  • Respiratory mechanics
  • PEP therapy
  • Chest physiotherapy
  • Airway suctioning
  • Intubation and extubation
  • Bronchoscopy assistance
• Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation and adjust settings based on patient response.
• Respond to Code Blue, Rapid Intervention Team (RIT), CRIT calls, and patient transports.
• Verify physician orders and accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Educate and support patients and families regarding respiratory treatments.
• Mentor new respiratory therapists and participate in staff education.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
• Prioritize patient care while responding effectively to changing clinical conditions.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.

Licensure & Certifications-

• Valid Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License, Oklahoma Provisional RCP License, or Temporary Practice Letter issued by the Oklahoma Medical Board.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within two months of hire.

Experience-

• Previous respiratory therapy experience (0–6 months preferred).
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
