Pay Rate: $17.00 - $21.00/hour (higher compensation may be considered for highly qualified candidates)

Service Advisor / Service Writer

About the Role

Adecco is seeking a customer-focused Service Advisor / Service Writer to serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. In this role, you will manage repair orders from intake through completion, coordinate scheduling, communicate repair updates, prepare estimates, obtain customer authorizations, and ensure an exceptional customer experience throughout the service process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and gather accurate customer and trailer information.

  • Create and maintain repair orders, documenting customer concerns and requested repairs.

  • Coordinate service scheduling based on shop capacity, workload, parts availability, and repair timelines.

  • Prepare detailed repair estimates, including labor, parts, fees, and completion expectations.

  • Present repair recommendations and secure customer approvals before work begins.

  • Serve as the primary customer contact, providing proactive updates on repair status, delays, and completion dates.

  • Coordinate with the Parts Department and Service Manager to ensure timely parts availability.

  • Verify repair order accuracy, including labor, parts, documentation, and warranty information.

  • Finalize invoices, arrange customer pickup and payment, and explain completed repairs as needed.

  • Follow up on open estimates, customer communications, and completed service work.

  • Support department goals related to customer satisfaction, productivity, turnaround times, and profitability.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or customer service professional in an automotive, truck, trailer, or equipment service environment preferred.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and administrative skills.

  • Proficiency with service management software, repair orders, and estimating systems.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, parts personnel, and management.

Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of trailer, truck, automotive, or heavy equipment service operations.

  • Experience preparing estimates and processing customer authorizations.

  • Strong problem-solving and customer conflict-resolution abilities.

Pay Details: $17.00 to $21.00 per hour
