RN - Inpatient Surgical Unit (Med-Surg)

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join an Inpatient Surgical/Med-Surg Unit. In this role, you will provide care to post-surgical patients recovering from procedures such as abdominal surgeries, assist with wound care, patient education, medication administration, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective recovery.

Position Highlights

• Full-Time Permanent Position
• Night Shift (Rotating Weekends)
• 45-Bed Inpatient Surgical / Med-Surg Unit
• Relocation Assistance Available (Case-by-Case)

Shift Differentials

• Nights: $4.25/hr
• Weekends: $3.00/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess post-surgical patients
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Provide wound care and post-operative patient education
• Document patient care accurately and timely
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Support safe recovery and discharge planning

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• • Acute care experience not required
  • Home Health, LTAC, Skilled Nursing Facility, Outpatient Rehab, and Corrections experience accepted
• Active Florida RN License or Compact RN License
• ASN, ADN, Nursing Diploma, or BSN
• BLS Certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale required within 30 days of hire
