Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Production Associate I to support manufacturing operations involving the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and preparation of high-horsepower diesel engine components. This role is responsible for operating production equipment, performing quality inspections, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring components are properly prepared for subsequent production stages. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Disassembly, Cleaning & Inspection Assist in the teardown and disassembly of high-horsepower diesel engines. Perform cleaning and preparation of engine components for further processing. Inspect parts and components to ensure compliance with quality specifications. Identify non-conforming materials and report quality concerns promptly. Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively. Production Operations Operate machines and production equipment according to established quality and productivity standards. Work at required cycle times and engineering standards to meet production goals. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Perform routine housekeeping, machine cleaning, and operator maintenance tasks. Remain flexible and perform additional duties as required to support business needs. Collaborate with maintenance personnel and support teams to identify equipment requiring repair or service. Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Follow all HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Report hazards, safety concerns, incidents, injuries, and near misses immediately. Correct workplace hazards within assigned authority and capability. Participate in safety training and contribute to a culture of workplace safety. Minimize environmental impacts through responsible work practices. Quality Assurance Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality processes. Support quality initiatives including Statistical Process Control (SPC), visual standards, and error-proofing methodologies. Conduct quality inspections and document findings accurately. Escalate issues that could impact product quality, costs, or production schedules. Teamwork & Continuous Improvement Communicate effectively with production teams, supervisors, and support staff. Participate in training and professional development activities. Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, material flow, and overall operational efficiency. Demonstrate accountability and a commitment to achieving team goals. Required Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment. Experience using hand tools and basic mechanical equipment. Strong attention to detail and inspection capabilities. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment. Ability to follow work instructions and quality procedures. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift, stand, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Preferred Qualifications Experience in automotive, diesel engine, mechanical repair, or manufacturing environments. Knowledge of engine components and mechanical systems. Previous experience with production, assembly, disassembly, or inspection operations. Familiarity with quality control processes and manufacturing standards. Experience working in a fast-paced production environment. Certifications No specific certifications required. Mechanical, automotive, diesel repair, or manufacturing-related certifications are a plus. Position may require licensing or authorization to comply with export control or sanctions regulations. Preferred Skills Automotive and/or diesel repair experience. Strong mechanical competency and troubleshooting ability. Excellent attention to detail. Commitment to workplace safety. Experience using hand tools. Production and manufacturing mindset with a focus on achieving operational goals. Education: High School
