Job Overview

Role: Registered Nurse – Pediatric CICU
Schedule: Full-Time Nights (7P–7A or 11P–11A, rotating weekends)

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be working in a Pediatric Cardiac ICU (CICU), focusing on critically ill children:

• Provide direct care for congenital heart disease / post-surgical pediatric patients
• Develop and manage individualized, family-centered care plans
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic ICU environment
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Educate patients and families as part of care

Requirements

• RN license
• 1+ year Pediatric ICU experience (acute care)

Preferred

• CCRN certification
• Children’s hospital experience
• Cardiac/vascular pediatric or post-op exposure (this is the big hiring challenge)

Unit Details

• Patient Age: 1 year+
• Beds: 14
• Ratio: 2:1 (very solid ICU ratio )
• Program: Brand new CICU
• Cases (Year 1): 50–70
  
• Sign-on bonus: Case-by-case
• Relocation: Case-by-case
