Location: Peterborough, NH
Job Type: Full-Time & Part-Time | Permanent
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift | 8-hour shifts
Pay Range: $19.90 – $27.00/hour (based on experience & education) + Benefits


Position Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant (Internal Medicine) provides direct clinical and administrative support to physicians and nursing staff in a busy outpatient Internal Medicine clinic. This role requires strong clinical competency, professionalism, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical procedures including blood draws, injections, immunizations, and routine lab testing within CMA scope
  • Assist physicians during patient examinations (vitals, rooming patients, and clinical support)
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms including cleaning, stocking, and organization
  • Support patient flow by escorting patients and preparing them for exams and procedures
  • Collect, document, and maintain accurate medical records, referrals, and lab orders
  • Handle patient communication including phone calls and provider-directed instructions
  • Assist with clinical procedures as directed by physicians or clinical leadership
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, safety standards, and clinical protocols
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary clinical teams


Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (minimum 2 years formal training required)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential (required)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA (required)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work flexible full-time or part-time day shift schedules (Monday–Friday)
