Intake Therapist (Behavioral Health Urgent Care)

Job Title: Intake Therapist (Behavioral Health Urgent Care)
Location: Southgate, Michigan
Pay: $29 – $39/hr (fixed, based on experience)
Schedule: Evening shifts (Mon–Fri)

Job Summary:
Provide intake assessments, crisis support, and care planning for individuals seeking mental health services, helping connect them to appropriate treatment and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake assessments & develop initial care/safety plans
• Use motivational interviewing and crisis intervention techniques
• Coordinate referrals and support person-centered treatment planning
• Document services and participate in team meetings
• Educate clients and families on available services

Requirements:

• Master’s degree (Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling)
• Active Michigan license (LMSW, LLP, or LPC)
• 1+ year post-master’s experience in mental health
• Experience with SMI, I/DD populations (required)
• Crisis intervention experience (preferred)
