Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Position: RN Medical Surgical – Full-Time | Salem, VA

Location: Salem, VA
Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Shift: Mixed/Night Shift with Rotating Weekends
Pay Range: $31.70 – $47.54/hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000
Relocation Assistance: Up to $1,500

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition during admission and throughout scheduled shifts
• Monitor, identify, and report changes in patient status promptly
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Perform patient monitoring, procedures, and nursing interventions
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• BCLS certification within 30 days of hire

Preferred:

• Acute care experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
