Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Helicopter Air Ambulance (HAA) operations in accordance with CAMTS guidelines.
  • Serve as Pilot-in-Command (Captain) flying the EC135 SPIFR/NVG aircraft.
  • Perform line pilot duties in accordance with company operating procedures.
  • Operate safely during 24-hour operations, including day and night rotations.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, CAMTS standards, and company operating procedures.
  • Assist with loading and unloading patients and medical equipment when required.
  • Support the company's Safety Management System and ongoing safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with flight crews, medical personnel, dispatch, and external partners to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable service.
  • Participate in community outreach and educational programs.
  • Maintain professionalism while providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • Qualified on the VE7A certificate.
  • Commercial Helicopter Pilot Certificate.
  • Instrument Helicopter Rating.
  • ATP certificate (required within 12 months of hire if not currently held).
  • FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Meet CAMTS minimum flight experience requirements:
    • 2,000 total flight hours.
    • 1,500 helicopter flight hours.
    • 1,000 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) helicopter hours.
    • 500 turbine helicopter hours.
    • 100 hours unaided night operations or 50 hours unaided night plus 100 hours Night Vision Goggle (NVG) experience.
    • 100 hours instrument flight time (actual and simulated).
  • Ability to meet the company's flight crew weight restriction policy (235 lbs. or less).
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete interviews with company leadership and operational partners.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, functional capacity exam, drug screening, and background check.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance while loading and unloading patients and equipment.
