Badger State Staffing is seeking MIG welders for full-time opportunities based in the Fox Valley area. We are looking for individuals with a minimum of two years of proven experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing setting, who possess proficiency in MIG and/or TIG welding techniques, and a strong understanding of blueprint reading, weld symbols, and dimensional tolerances. Ideal candidates will be capable of performing high-quality welding on a variety of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, across diverse thicknesses, and be able to troubleshoot welding related issues.
Duties
  • Perform welding tasks using various techniques including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) to fabricate metal components.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment, including plasma cutting tools and power tools.
  • Utilize hand tools and machinery such as press brake machines and forklifts to assist in the assembly process.
  • Conduct pipe threading as required for specific projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards on construction sites while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Shift: Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Up to 8 hours of overtime may be required on a Friday based on production.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability in MIG or TIG welding of carbon steel, stainless steel or aluminum of varying thicknesses
  • Previous experience in a metal fabrication/manufacturing environment is desirable
  • Experience working in ISO 9001 certified environment highly desired
  • Associates degree in process or achieved preferred
