Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Psychometrist to join our neurology team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering, scoring, and recording standardized neuropsychological tests under the supervision of a licensed neuropsychologist. This position plays a vital role in supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer standardized neuropsychological and cognitive assessment batteries to patients under the direction of a supervising neuropsychologist
  • Score and record test results accurately and in a timely manner
  • Prepare and organize patient testing materials prior to appointments
  • Maintain detailed and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Provide clear instructions to patients and ensure their comfort throughout the testing process
  • Assist in the preparation of written reports and summaries of test results for review by the supervising provider
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff regarding testing procedures
  • Manage scheduling and coordination of neuropsychological testing appointments
  • Perform general medical assistant duties such as rooming patients and documenting in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Maintain inventory of testing materials and supplies
  • Adhere to all office policies, procedures, and compliance standards
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field preferred
  • Prior experience as a psychometrist or neurology setting strongly preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential a plus
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with diverse patient populations, including those with cognitive impairments
