Registered Dental Hygienist

The Registered Dental Hygienist plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive oral health care within a small dental hygiene team, typically comprising 1-3 hygienists. Reporting to the Practice Manager, this role serves patients of mixed age groups, focusing on preventive care and maintaining patient oral health through education and treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings to remove plaque, tartar, and stains
• Conduct radiographic imaging for diagnostic purposes
• Educate patients on oral health maintenance and preventive care
• Implement infection control protocols and sterilize equipment
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient charting records
• Assist in developing treatment plans tailored to patient needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene
• Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
• Experience in patient care and periodontal therapy
• Proficient in radiography and infection control procedures
• Skilled in oral health education and patient communication
• Strong charting abilities and effective time management
