Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by performing thorough dental cleanings, assessments, and education. Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent oral disease.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with infection prevention protocols.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their understanding of dental health.
• Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort.
• Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and managing medical records securely.
• Support infection control practices by sterilizing dental equipment, following aseptic techniques, and managing healthcare infection prevention protocols.

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures.
• Proficiency in dental software systems such as OpenDental and Dentrix for documentation and scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
• Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred, along with familiarity in pediatric dentistry best practices.
• Demonstrated expertise in infection prevention management, including sterilization procedures and aseptic technique.
• Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction, patient education, and team collaboration.
• Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely while maintaining high standards of patient care and comfort.
