Legal Assistant for a Personal Injury Law Firm in Encino, CA

Our firm is looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join Our Team!

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with the preparation of legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.

• Review, proofread, and edit legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable legal standards.

• Organize and maintain case files and records, ensuring timely updates and easy accessibility.

• Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and opening new cases.

• Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on case status and answering general inquiries.

• Conduct intake interviews with potential new clients and collect relevant documentation for attorney review.

• Request and follow up on medical records and billing statements as needed.

• Collaborate with clients to gather essential information for case preparation.

• Support attorneys and staff with general administrative tasks and special projects as needed.

• File and serve pleadings and other legal documents in accordance with court rules and deadlines.

** Litigation experience is a plus! **

You must possess the following qualifications:

· Must be pleasant, kind and compassionate.

· Be able to prioritize and have good follow-up skills.

· Strong communication skills and customer service skills.

· Be a team player.

· Attention to detail.

· Punctual.

** Bilingual in Spanish is a plus! **

Computer Skills:

You must have at least the basic knowledge to use the following:

Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Adobe Pro, and DocuSign.

***** This position is full-time Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Hourly rate will depend on experience, plus retirement benefits, sick pay, and bonuses.
