Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – Center-Based Learning Program


Adaptive ABA Center is seeking a passionate, reliable, and experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our center-based team located in Richmond, TX. This is an in-person position working directly with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT will be responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans, supporting skill acquisition programs, teaching functional communication, encouraging social development, implementing behavior intervention plans, and promoting school readiness goals.

This role is ideal for an RBT who values collaboration, consistency, and meaningful skill development, and who is committed to helping children build the functional skills needed for success in school and community environments.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the supervising BCBA
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group ABA therapy sessions
  • Support development of communication, social, adaptive, play, and school readiness skills
  • Collect accurate and timely data during therapy sessions
  • Implement behavior intervention plans as directed
  • Facilitate peer interactions, group activities, and client transitions
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
  • Collaborate effectively with BCBAs, caregivers, and other interdisciplinary team members
  • Participate in required trainings, supervision meetings, and team meetings
  • Complete session notes and documentation in a timely manner
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
  • Demonstrate consistency, reliability, and professionalism across all sessions with clients, families, and team members

Required Qualifications

  • Active RBT certification in good standing
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass background and reference checks

Additional Knowledge/Skills

· CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date)

· 1+ year experience providing ABA services to children with ASD or developmental disabilities

· Experience in a center-based ABA setting

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Excellent data collection and documentation skills

· Commitment to ethical standards in behavior analysis

· Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

· Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development

· Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment

· Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

· Friendly, self-motivated, and team-oriented mindset


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and move quickly as required
  • Ability to participate in play-based learning, instructional activities, and behavior intervention procedures
