Registered Dental Hygienist
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Perform dental prophylaxis (cleanings), scaling, and root planing.
Conduct oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and oral cancer screenings.
Take, process, and interpret dental radiographs (x-rays).
Apply preventive treatments such as sealants and fluoride.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and overall dental health.
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
Assist the dentist during exams and procedures when needed.
Stay current with continuing education and licensing requirements.
