Responsibilities
- Provide gentle, thorough cleanings and deep cleanings (SRP).
- Take sharp, accurate digital X-rays and intraoral photos.
- Check patients for periodontal disease and oral cancer.
- Give practical home care tips without sounding preachy.
- Apply sealants and fluoride varnish or any other preventive tools
- Partner with the doctor for smooth, stress-free exams.
- Spot needed dental work and guide patients toward treatment.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree from a school certified by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred
- Current Dental Hygienist licensure
- A warm personality that makes patients forget they are in a dental chair.
- The ability to educate without lecturing.
