Part-time Registered Dental Hygienist

Busy general private practice in Winchester, MA seeks an experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to work 1–2 days per week. The ideal candidate will be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. You should have in-depth knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies.

Responsibilities

· Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination

· Perform initial patient screenings and review patients’ medical history

· Provide oral prophylaxis, removing tartar, plaque and stains and apply fluoride treatments

· Take radiographs, intraoral images and dental impressions

· Maintain accepted standards of asepsis including scrubbing and sterilizing hygiene instruments

· Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis and perform oral cancer screenings

· Educate patients of all ages on proper oral health and preventative care

· Document and maintain accurate patient records including the proper tracking of treatment plans

· Monitor supplies

Skills & Experience

· Outstanding clinical and communication skills

· 5 plus years of experience preferred

Licenses & Certifications

· Current Massachusetts Dental Hygiene license

· Valid CPR certification
