Forteza Law, PLLC is a business and commercial litigation law firm based in Miami, Florida, serving clients throughout South and Central Florida. Our practice covers business and commercial law, banking law, business and commercial torts, commercial leasing, condominium and homeowners' association law, construction disputes, and creditors' rights. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our growing team in our Miami office.

About the Role

Forteza Law, PLLC is seeking a friendly, organized Receptionist / Legal Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors at our Miami office, while also providing administrative and clerical support to our attorneys and staff across our business and commercial law practice. The ideal candidate is professional, reliable, and comfortable juggling front-desk duties with legal administrative tasks in a fast-paced firm.

Responsibilities

· Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner

· Greet and check in clients and visitors, and maintain a welcoming front office

· Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries

· Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and conference room use

· Assist attorneys and paralegals with document preparation, formatting, and copying/scanning

· Open, organize, and maintain physical and electronic client files

· Prepare and send correspondence, and assist with e-filing as needed

· Order and maintain office supplies and assist with general office upkeep

· Provide overflow administrative support to the Office Manager and legal team

Qualifications

· Prior experience as a receptionist, legal assistant, or in a similar front-office role (law firm experience a plus)

· Professional phone manner and strong customer service skills

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office equipment

· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

· Discretion in handling confidential client information

· Ability to work on-site at our Miami office (not a remote position)

Location & Schedule

This is an in-office position based at our Miami, Florida office. This is not a remote or hybrid role — candidates must be able to work on-site.
