MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

%CF; High School Diploma or equivalent

%CF; CPR Certification

%CF; Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all pertinent federal, state, and local laws, standards

of the Ohio Department of Mental Health, and appropriate professional ethical standards

%CF; The position requires the ability to respond appropriately to crisis or emergency

situations, including at least basic training crisis intervention

%CF; Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state

requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements

%CF; Skills in crisis intervention and emergency services

%CF; The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

%CF; De-escalation skills

%CF; The ability to establish and maintain clinically effective relationships with clients

%CF; Ability to meet agency requirements for criminal background check

%CF; Ability to function as part of an organization by working with others and by adhering to

established policies and procedures

%CF; Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

%CF; Observing Patients, closely monitoring patients, observing their behaviors and recording

any new symptoms or signs of distress.

%CF; Monitor vital signs, monitor and record vital signs

%CF; Assisting with daily activities, daily tasks, such as eating, and taking medications.

%CF; Help clients participate in group counseling or group meetings

%CF; Provide emotional support to clients and reassure relatives

%CF; Alert medical professionals in case of emergencies

%CF; Assist medical providers to carry out treatment plans

%CF; Create supportive environments to clients

%CF; Maintains strict confidentiality and protects clients privacy.

%CF; Maintains appropriate documentation, including internal personnel records, operating

reports and specific duties and analyses.

%CF; Responsible for being a role model to persons with substance/mental health use

disorders.

%CF; Maintain/ complete and able to facilitate recovery related groups, teaching relaxation

strategies, facilitating supportive interventions.

%CF; Provides mentor persons with a substance use disorder and others in the recovery

process.
