Join our on-call Substitute Teacher team at Harvest Green Montessori!
We are always excited to welcome caring and reliable substitute guides to support our mixed-age Montessori classrooms whenever our full-time teachers are absent. Montessori experience is not required, as training will be provided during orientation and onboarding.
Harvest Green Montessori School is an early childhood education center offering full-day care and educational programs for children ages 3 months to 6 years old. We also provide before- and after-school care, as well as summer programs for children through 5th grade.
About the Role
This is an on-call, as-needed position ideal for individuals seeking flexible hours while making a positive impact on young children.
Many of our substitute teachers later become full-time Assistant Teachers, making this a great opportunity to join the HGM Montessori community.
What You'll Do
- Provide classroom support as needed to help maintain a consistent and positive environment
- Assist children with daily routines and learning activities in mixed-age classrooms
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging atmosphere for all children
- Partner with staff to ensure smooth classroom transitions and continuity of care
- Demonstrate patience, professionalism, and kindness throughout the day
Schedule & Flexibility
- Hours and days vary based on school needs. Availability anytime between 6:30am-6:30pm as needed.
- Perfect for those seeking part-time, flexible, or supplemental work
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old with H.S. diploma minimum!
- Must pass a valid state background-fingerprint check
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Dependable, caring, and professional attitude
- Passion for working with young children
- CPR/FA including Infants required!
