SCHMIDT Technology is seeking a self-motivated individual to provide technical sales support for customer inquiries. Key responsibilities include maintaining customer relationships through various communication channels, including in-person visits; conducting application testing and evaluation; assisting with product selection; developing solutions; preparing proposals; and conducting follow-ups.
Qualifications
- Willingness and aptitude to learn new skills; ideally, experience in the manufacturing industry (automation industry is a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- General understanding of PLC-based controls, electrical, and pneumatic systems, including reading and interpreting schematics.
- Ideally, experience with conventional toolroom equipment, i.e., calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, including manual lathes, mills, surface-grinding equipment
- Experience with standard office software packages, e.g., Microsoft products.
- Ideally, experience with CAD software
- History of self-motivation, organization, problem-solving, and multi-tasking.
- Solid written and oral communication skills.
- Team player with a friendly, can-do demeanor
- Ready to travel up to 20% annually
