Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice for 2 days a week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a clinical environment.

Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
• Assess patients' oral health and provide education on proper dental hygiene practices.
• Document patient medical records accurately, including vital signs and treatment plans.
• Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic.
• Maintain aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and infection control.
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to patient treatments.
• Provide support in pediatric dentistry, adapting care techniques for younger patients.
• Stay updated with advancements in general dentistry practices and technologies.
• Cleaning and setting up own rooms
• x-rays a plus

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical records management.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to dental procedures is advantageous.
• Ability to perform vital sign assessments and document findings accurately.
• Experience with assisting in various dental procedures is a plus.
• Proficiency in maintaining aseptic techniques within the clinical environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
• A valid dental hygiene license is required.

Pay: $65.00 - $81.00 per hour
