Field Inspector – Potomac Interceptor Program
Location
- Project Sites throughout the Potomac Interceptor Program
- Full-time field assignment
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of construction inspection experience
- Experience with sewer rehabilitation, utilities, civil infrastructure, or heavy construction preferred
Work Schedule
- 5 days per week in the field
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily field inspections of sewer rehabilitation construction activities.
- Verify contractor compliance with project plans, specifications, permits, and safety requirements.
- Maintain daily inspection reports and project documentation.
- Monitor construction quality, materials, workmanship, and progress.
- Coordinate with resident engineers, contractors, and DC Water representatives.
- Document deficiencies and track corrective actions.
- Assist with quantity verification and progress reporting.
- Support testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
Availability
- Immediate or within 1–3 months
Compensation
- Up to $67/hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Preferred Qualifications (All Positions)
Candidates with experience in one or more of the following are highly desirable:
- Sewer rehabilitation
- Large-diameter interceptors
- Wastewater collection systems
- Water and wastewater infrastructure
- Trenchless technologies (CIPP, sliplining, pipe bursting, etc.)
- CMAR or Design-Bid-Build project delivery
- Construction management and inspection
- Utility coordination
- Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or GIS
- OSHA safety training (Field Inspector preferred)
