BCBA or ABA

• Fully licensed master’s level degree in mental health/social services/counseling field RBT (M.Ed., BCBA, LBA, preferred)
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• 2 plus years working experience as a Licensed Behavior Therapist.

Duties of the Behavior Therapist are:

· Plans and administers treatment through behavior modification, and stress management therapy to assist clients in developing/displaying appropriate behaviors.

· Ability to assess treatment goals and write goal-directed, individualized treatment plans, as well as the ability to monitor and document individual behavior patterns and modify treatment plans to meet changing treatment goals.

· Implement specific Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs, analyzing data, and tracking client progress.

· Changes method and degree of therapy when indicated by client’s reactions/needs

· Discusses progress toward goals with MDCS staff such as medication regiment, family relationships, educational programs, and social development.

· Maintains regular contacts with MDCS staff regarding client progress within the treatment program through phone calls, emails, and monthly documented reporting.

· Develops and maintains positive relationships with external customers, families and clients and employees.

· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage difficult clients.

· Exhibits an exemplary work ethic by being highly organized, detailed and thorough.

· Must have a valid Driver’s License in state of residency
