Position Overview
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Make Ready Cleaner to join our team with a focus on high-quality rent-ready unit turns. In this role, you will play a critical part in preparing vacated military housing units for incoming families. Your work ensures homes are spotless, sanitized, and move-in ready on schedule and meet the standards of the Department of Public Works.

Key Responsibilities
As a Make Ready Cleaner, you will:

  • Complete deep cleans on 3–5 vacated units per week, adhering to quality and time standards
  • Clean and sanitize kitchens, bathrooms, appliances, and fixtures to a move-in ready standard
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and treat all flooring types throughout the unit
  • Clean interior windows, mirrors, blinds, and light fixtures
  • Remove trash, debris, and leftover items from vacated units
  • Spot-clean walls, baseboards, and doors; remove scuffs and marks
  • Wipe down cabinets, closets, vents, and other interior surfaces
  • Report maintenance issues or damage found during cleaning to the appropriate team member
  • Ensure units are clean, sanitized, and ready for the final inspection

Qualifications & Requirements

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience with move-in/move-out or rent-ready cleaning preferred
  • Ability to complete 3–5 unit cleans per week to a consistent quality standard
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering a spotless finished product
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Proficient in the safe and proper use of standard cleaning equipment (vacuums, mops, steamers, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable in proper use of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Ability to manage supplies efficiently with minimal waste

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration required

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently
  • Requires prolonged standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
  • Must be able to safely use a step stool/ladder for high cleaning tasks
  • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to perform repetitive tasks as required by the unit turn process
