Director of Payroll

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of Payroll to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $170,000 to $200,000 per year.

• Lead payroll operations by overseeing end to end processing activities and ensuring accurate and timely employee payments.

• Develop and implement payroll strategies, policies, and procedures to support organizational goals.

• Manage system improvements and collaborate with internal teams to enhance automation and efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, tax requirements, and labor policies across multiple jurisdictions.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for audits, reporting, and payroll related inquiries.

• A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.

• Extensive experience in payroll management, including leadership of payroll operations.

• Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax reporting, and labor compliance requirements.

• Previous experience working with payroll systems and HR technology platforms.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast paced environment.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and influence cross functional stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities with attention to accuracy and detail.

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal teams, leadership, and external agencies.

• High level of professionalism and ability to manage confidential payroll information.

• Proactive mindset with experience improving processes and driving operational efficiency.
