Brief Description
DDS Acoustical Specialties is seeking a Sales Engineer to expand the sales efforts of the company as it looks to grow to the next level. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a high-level setting, selling and managing projects from inception to substantial completion.
The candidate should also have considerable experience in customer service, spending most of their time participating in customer-facing activities.
Experience in the business of noise control and acoustics is preferred but not required. We encourage applicants with related experience, transferable skills, and a willingness to learn to apply.
Primary Responsibilities
• Identify and estimate projects utilizing known products or proposing new materials.
• Engage in field visits to project sites around the northeast.
• Work with the marketing department to identify specific opportunities and develop strategies to see those opportunities through fruition.
• Participate in creating and maintaining a successful brand and image that attracts customers to the product or service.
• Train other employees in the sale and application of acoustical materials.
• Analyze sales numbers and forecast future business to help stay on budget and promote growth.

• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Demands
• Primary responsibility will require periods of time spent at a desk.
• Weekly regional travel is required and will vary based on client demand.
Required Education and Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with sales / customer service, estimating, project management
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
• Experience reading construction plans and CAD drawings
• Familiarity with CRM systems, such as Pipedrive and Salesforce
• Lean / Continuous Improvement training preferred
