Pre-Litigation Attorney

The Capital Law Firm, P.C. is seeking a skilled and motivated Pre-Litigation Attorney to join our growing personal injury practice in Los Angeles.

The ideal candidate is a strong advocate and negotiator who can independently manage personal injury matters from intake through settlement, provide strategic direction on cases, and deliver an exceptional experience for our clients.

This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their caseload, and understands how to strategically develop cases to maximize value.

Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury cases from intake through pre-litigation resolution
• Develop case strategy and evaluate liability, damages, treatment, coverage, and overall case value
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing parties
• Review and approve settlement demands and other substantive case correspondence
• Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status, treatment, and strategy
• Identify high-value cases and matters requiring early litigation consideration
• Monitor medical treatment and ensure cases continue progressing toward resolution
• Review medical records, liens, insurance information, and other case documentation
• Provide legal guidance and strategic direction to Case Managers and support staff
• Ensure cases comply with firm procedures, deadlines, and documentation requirements
• Collaborate with Pre-Litigation leadership, Litigation attorneys, and firm management
• Prepare files for an organized and strategic transition to Litigation when appropriate

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California
• Personal injury experience strongly preferred
• Strong negotiation and case-evaluation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to effectively manage a high-volume caseload and competing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to provide direction and collaborate effectively with Case Managers and support staff
• Client-focused approach with strong professional judgment
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $110,000 - $190,000 DOE
