Position Summary:
The Litigation Attorney is responsible for managing a caseload of personal injury matters from the filing of a lawsuit through resolution. This role requires strong litigation skills, strategic case management, and the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of clients in negotiations, hearings, and trial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a docket of personal injury litigation cases from inception through trial
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery (interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission)
  • Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
  • Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
  • Develop case strategy, including liability and damages analysis
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and expectations
  • Collaborate with case managers, paralegals, and support staff
  • Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural rules

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure and evidence rules
  • Trial experience or strong desire to try cases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience handling high-volume PI caseloads
  • Strong negotiation and settlement skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
